Forecaster Scholarship

THE CRITERIA TO RECEIVE FUNDING IS AS FOLLOWS:

• Funding is available for current Alta ski patrollers.

• Past recipients are eligible to re-apply.

  • Priority will be given to Pro Level 1 classes.

  • Secondary consideration will be given to Pro Level 2 classes, if Level 1 slots are fulfilled.

  • Third consideration or leftover funds from the previous year will go towards patrollers who want to attend ISSW.

• Priority will be given to recommendations from Jonathan Morgan and the Avalanche Office.

  • Applicants referred by the Avalanche Office should indicate this in their Application.

• Application deadline is rolling.

• Annual scholarship distribution depends on the courses requested and funds available.

• Recipients must register and complete the course as defined in the grant award letter within one year of award date. 

• Recipients must fill out the Amazing Ski and Snow People evaluation form within 30 days of course completion.

• Applicants must submit an application.

Please answer the following questions in a thoughtful and reflective manner as you complete your written application. Applications will be reviewed by a committee selected by the Board of Directors of Amazing Ski and Snow People. Applications with missing or incomplete information will not be considered.
